BIOGRAPHY

In the beginning, there was a vision. Now, that vision is reality.

Enter Thundermaker, A Swedish Rock Opera.

It all started in July of 2013 when Marty wanted to push himself to the highest limit and create something that had never been done in Sweden before.

His vison was shared by fellow drummer, Eddie, and they came up with the band name, Thundermaker, that same night.

Fast forward to December that same very year, Marty had finished written 11 tracks for their album. However, they did not have somebody who could handle the bass, so Eddie contacted Philip Petersson and the deal was set. As 6 tracks already had been recorded with bass by Marty himself, Philip insisted to re-record them and lay down bass on all 11 tracks.

In december, due to personal differences, Philip was let go of his duties and Marty & Eddie continued on without a bassplayer.

In february 2014, the band got a management deal by Double "PT" Records Management Inc and made some big achievements the following months. A big setback came in june when Eddie decided to part ways with the band due to personal reasons.

Then came november and after spent nearly 24 hours a day for a year's time, the debut album "The Thundermaker was released. It was mixed and mastered in Marty's home studio, Opossum Studios, Sweden and released by the new record label, Double "PT" Records. The effort was also signed by Marty and guest singer, Mike Andersson.

In May, 2016, Eddie rejoined Thundermaker as a permanent member of the band.

The album "Gods of the Earth" was released on August 4, 2017 as an independent release, having ended their contract with Double PT Records earlier that year. The album featured guest appearences by THOR, Blaze Bayley (Iron Maiden), Kane Roberts (Alice Cooper), Wade Black (Crimson Glory), Paul Stead (The Darker my Horizon) & Mike Andersson (Tungsten, Fullforce)

The band has just recorded a brand new song for their third upcoming album. The song is called "Fake" and features LG Petrov (Entombed AD) on Vocals.

In october 2020, Eddie announced his permanent departure from the band due to personal differences and priorities.

In June 2021, Thundermaker's new album had been mixed and was handled by the one and only Mikko Karmila at Finnvox Studios, Helsinki, Finland, who has also mixed all LOVEBITES albums, Nightwish, Children of Bodom, Lordi and countless others.

The album was mastered in July by mastermind Mika Jussila, also at Finnvox Studios, Helsinki, Finland. Mika has also some huge credits to his name as he has mastered more than 2000 albums and singles with LOVEBITES, Nightwish, Children of Bodom, Lordi etc being among them.

The Road was finally released worldwide september 14, 2021 via Sliptrick Records.

Three music videos were made for the release of the album.

One being a pre-view video of the album and the other the band's first official video for a song. This one being the title track, "The Road featuring Ronny Munroe".

Also appearing in the video is the man himself, Mr Ronny Munroe, who shot his parts in his hometown in the US.

Marty's video shots were handled by Marty's longtime friend and manager, Peter.

The third video was the band's first lyric video of the song "A Twin Flame Journey". All lyrics were approved by the spiritual mentor, Ms. Mary Marcus and written by Marty.

The journey continues with new things on the horizon. Onward and upwards. To create new things that will be evolution of the things that has been, to inspire others and to follow Your heart. The bar has been set.

In August 2022, Marty began writing the concept story of the new fourth album which, as of now, remains a secret and will be for quite a while. Furthermore, some very "out-of-the-box-thinking" will happen during the cycle of this new release. Project name has been decided as well but just as the concept, remains a secret for now.
